Zentangle Challenge #61

Zentangle weekly challenge #61 is to use the tangle "Golven" I love it! This is a tangle that is quite versatile and can be very detailed, or left quite simple; can be used as a border, or to fill a space... I was working on a ZIA of overlapping ovals and when this challenge came up, I decided to add this tangle, so I've included the ZIA as well.

Really amazing! As a new tangler, I have to ask, when you layed the square on top of Golven, how did you get the pieces of Golven underneath but sticking out to be the right shape and size?

to Gloria - continuing lines underneath another "object" is difficult - I did the background golven first and when I was drawing each line, I just held the pen above the paper when I went over the middle square, as if I was drawing it, but not actually touching the paper, then touched down with the pen on the other side.

by the way - I'm a pretty new tangler as well. I just started last Nov.

Beautiful job on the challenge. I love your take on golven. How fun that we used the same tangles with such totally different results!

Gorgeous pieces - I love how you filled your curvy ZIA with such angular tangles - the contrast of shapes is great!
