Zentangle Challenge #277 - Running 'round in Circles

This week's Diva Challenge (www.iamthedivaczt.blogspot.ca) is to use circles. I love circles! Especially off-set circles! I coloured with water-colour pencils and the background is from my now favourite pencil set - Graphitint - this one is Juniper. I have rarely used the tangle Sez and enjoyed it so I'll be using it more.

Zendala Dare #50

Interesting template from Erin at www.thebrightowl.blogspot.ca. I could see so many things I wanted to do, but after I had drawn it out, I realized I'd missed a couple of lines and voila - there was a pinwheel. I used a sepia pen to add contrast, and though it's hard to see in the scan, a pale blue watercolor pencil for the background. My copy of the book "Made in the Shade" by Cris Letourneau just came in the mail today, so I'm going to bundle up, and sit in the sun in the back yard with a tea, my Zentangle kit, and enjoy this spring-like afternoon!

Zentangle Challenge #104 - String Theory - 003

This week's Zentangle Challenge (from Laura at www.iamthedivaczt@blogspot.ca) is to use the string #003 which can be found on the tanglepatterns website. I decided to oversize it (8 X 11), and initially I thought I'd keep it simple with just a few new to me tangles... well, you know how it goes. It got more complicated when I decided I wanted each section to have a connection of some sort with the one(s) beside it. I got to try 9 new to me tangles and a couple of nearly new ones. Fun! Thank you for taking the time to look, and make a comment if you feel like it. Have a good week.

Zentangle Challenge #103 - Moebius String

The Diva Zentangle Challenge this week is to use the Moebius string. I had an idea to make it into a pathway - good idea, right? Hummm, but things got out of hand and two days (and nights) later I was adding more, and more.... It's fussy, but I got to try some tangles I hadn't used before, and the concept of a journey, meditative gardens, and Zentangle just seemed to flow. Don't love it, but it's the thought that counts. My thoughts go out to Laura and Artoo and family, and everyone else else dealing with Moebius Syndrome.

Zentangle Challenge #73 - Bridgen

This week's Zentangle Challenge from "Iamthedivaczt.blogspot.ca" is to use the tangle Bridgen. I've never used it before but certainly will again. It's a great tangle. I made the mistake though of looking at other contributions - never a good idea because it is intimidating because there are so many wonderful interpretations and I start thinking that I can never do anything as good. But that's the point... it's not a competition, and I have to remember that I'm doing it for me, and learning from others. It really is amazing to see how so very different each contribution is! I'm not totally happy with mine, but it will do. I have several other projects on the go so this week is getting short shrift time-wise. (I bought one of those Pogo printers (amazon.ca) mentioned in Sandy Steen Bartholomew's "Yoga for your Brain" book, and am having a blast making post cards - maybe I'll post some when I've done a few more.)
