Zendala Dare #74

I've been ever so busy lately and have missed the last three Zendala Dare's (www.thebrightowl.blogspot.ca)! I don't like missing them, but in a way it's been good for me because I was starting to get almost obsessive about getting every dare and challenge done, and comment on as many of other's works as I could, at the expense of other interests and obligations. It's made me realize that I can step back and prioritize and forgive myself if I can't do everything. I bet there are others out there who feel the same way? Anyway, it is a great template and I had fun with it. Ripples, new to me, caused some problems but a black fill for the background disguises the "mistakes". Also new to me is Quare, and I actually like the original squares better than the circles, but it's a cool tangle. Now I'm off to look at other entries and start on the weekly Zentangle challenge!

Absolutely! I, too, try to keep up with 3 or more challenges, and comments on many entries. But one gets bogged down with it all. It's hard to find a balance.

That said, I think you did a great job on the Zentangle. In some ways it was a difficult one to work with, but you didn't let that get in your way.

Beautiful zendala! Great choice of tangles. Especially I like the spot of dark red color!
By the way I know this feelings only to well.

Oooh! Interesting-it's like a dome! I like the ripples tangle gives it some movement-the tangle that goes down the center from the top to bottom is very well done!
yes- I too need to miss every now and again- i catch up later when I have time

Yes, Sue, I think most of us are trying to do too much all of the time. Stepping back once in a while is probably good for you/us. You can come back refreshed and ready to move on. This template was a bit different and you did a really nice zendala with it.

Your zendala is beautiful, I like it a lot.
Oh, yes, I know what you are talking about. I want very much to comment to every one and not just the ones I like best, because I know we all like to get comments. But sometimes it is a lot to do.

Looks great. There is an intensity/denseness but it is not busy. I agree with what you said about accepting that cannot do it all.
