Zentangle Weekly Challenge #56 - non-dominitrix
The challenge this week is to do a tile using our non dominant hand - for me that would be my left. This reminded me so much of a challenge we had in psychology class way back in college - to trace a star but we couldn't see our hands directly - there was a contraption set up so that we were looking into a mirror so tracing a mirror image. It was really interesting as many if not most people had a lot of trouble, and couldn't get started in any direction. I was moderately ok with the mirror star... and am not displeased with doing this tangle with my left hand. It was fun to do, but once was enough for me :)

Zentangle Weekly Challenge # 55 - Moebius Trip
This weeks challenge was to use the symbol from the Moebius Syndrome Foundation (www.moebiussyndrome.com/) as the string. I wanted to keep it simple so I've used hearts for love, stars for hope, Bales (to look like a quilt) for comfort, and I used embroidery floss and beads to jazz up the ribbon - for optimism. Purple is a color that doesn't transfer well unfortunately, but there is quite a bit of purple in this piece: the bales, the beads, and purple watercolor pencil on the ribbon and around the outside.

Weekly Challenge #54 - Purple
One of my other passions is making stained glass pieces, and when my eye caught on a purple candle front that I had done several years ago - I had an Ah Ha! moment, and decided to try tangles on the glass. I discovered two things about tangling on glass: 1. the Micron ink smudges really easily and 2. I'm not a photographer, so I couldn't find a place that showed light through the glass, but also showed how purple the glass is. Though it looks rather pink, you'll have to take my word for it that the glass is quite purple. Interesting experiment and I'll now start looking for better ink because you can bet I'll be adding tangles to some of my future stained glass pieces!

Weekly Challenge - #53 Undine - Undine in space
I wanted to spend some time on a ZIA that included the weekly challenge Undine. I had intended that it be the main part of this zentangle, but zentangles have a mind of their own and so I kept undine clean and simple, and complicated the rest. I've loved many of the interpretations used in the submitted challenges - it's a very versatile tangle.

Zentangle Weekly Challenge #53 - Undine
Happy New Year everyone! I found this tangle interesting because I played with it for a while, trying to get it to "move" but I couldn't get it to do what I wanted. I'll be really interested in looking at what others have done with it. I decided to start with three large X's and see where it lead..... I ended up with undine within an undine, then carried the lines from the small x's into curves - does this corrupt the tangle?
