Day 2 of Creative Jumpstart is a video from Tina Walker: Art Recipe Jar. (She suggests listing all art supplies and putting them in a jar then drawing out a few to use as inspiration… I'm not going to do that.) The second video was a mixed media sculptural piece, so I took inspiration from Tina Walker's use of nature and again gathered a few items from around my studio. I used pressed, dried tulip petals (that have all turned brown!, stencils, delusions spray ink, gesso, a piece of plastic mesh, gelatos, paint,
textured paper, and multi coloured hemp string.
I really like your colour choices. Good on you for making the prompt your own.

DeleteThis really came out cool! I love all aspects of this piece. Thank you for dismissing guilt! I was thinking I should do the jar, but I actually don't have too much trouble with getting ideas from different places. But I am trying to use some materials I haven't used in quite a while. I love your stamping, the petals colors, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gloria, I’m really a beginner with lots of supplies and little training or experience! I’m trying to play with everything I’ve got, in different ways, and letting the worst happen!
DeleteOh My Gosh! I love how you incorporated the nature articles! ♥
ReplyDeleteThanks Tina!
