These are two tiles I did for this week's Zentangle Challenge from Laura at www.iamthedivaczt.blogspot.ca. The challenge this week is a duo tangle - to use Auraknot and Diva Dance. I started out just fooling around with some scratch tiles I have and liked what happened (other than I mucked up Auraknot a bit). I was also able to fit in a ribbon forming a 5 because this is the 5th anniversary of her posting challenges! My other tile is on a blank coaster. As always, another wonderful challenge!
Your first Auraknot is wonderful. The combined star and triangle is very effective. I'll have to do some research to remind myself how to do that myself.
ReplyDeleteWOW, these are both gorgeous!!!!! Well done.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteThe scratch card on is fabulous because of all the colour showing through but I rather like the simple black and white too. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteI have some of those scratch tiles, and I never think to use them. Your challenge piece is really striking on it. Mistakes, none in Zentangle :) Love the one on the coaster too.
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful! Especially I like the scratch tile ... it´s gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteExcellent work! A treat for the eyes.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful tiles!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the scratch tile! actually, I love them both!
ReplyDeleteboth tiles are outstanding!
ReplyDeleteI love the combination of triangle stars . And I love the coloured tile. Can`t decide which I like more!
I'm impressed that you could manage an aura knot on a scratch tile. Both tiles work very well and are elegant. Happy New Year.

ReplyDeleteWOW!! These are both very inspirational expressions of this week's challenge! I'll have to revert back when I feel ambitious enough to try Auraknot again...trust me, it won't be anytime soon!
ReplyDeleteI love both tiles! The colourful scratched tile is a worthy form of celebration with all its bright colours! It reminds me of paper streamers. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe round tile is beautiful, too! I especially like that you used the Waltz varioation of Diva Dance. I'm usually more drawn to the Rock'n'Roll variation but Waltz looks so nice here with the pearls instead of the dark spaces.
Very much like the two tiles. Rainbow looks unusual and gaily :)
ReplyDeleteI love both of your tiles, Sue! Really neat how you wove a 5 in the scratch tile. I'll have to try those sometime.
ReplyDeleteVery very Lovely.and beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteI love the scratch card! Sorry I'm late commenting. I had a peek before I started my challenge, but didn't want to stay too long for fear of being influenced by your lovely creative tiles! Now that I'm back, I can stay a few minutes to drool!
