Zentangle Challenge #146 Duo-tangle using Pea-nuckle and Well
Pea-nuckle is not one of my favorite tangles. At CZT training, Molly walked us through it and it went much better watching her step by step, so I figured it would be fine when I tried it at home…. no…. Although I'm not too unhappy with the way this one went - I kind of like the look of them "ripping" away from each other - I find the tail ends of the "s" get in the way or hang out too much, and I can't get the luscious curve she gets. I'll have to play around with this one more and get over the "imperfections". Well is a beautiful tangle with loads of tangelations or variations. I like it best without the petal step. This is my contribution to this weeks Zentangle Challenge to do a duo-tangle using Pea-nuckle and Well.
WOW, you did so very well here. It has a great design.
ReplyDeleteI think this is exactly how the two tangles are meant to go together...I really like this Axxx
ReplyDeleteA perfect way to combine the two tangles, and also very funny !
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! Wonderful combination of the two tangles!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done! I love all your tanglations
ReplyDeleteSue you made a great layout with those two tangle patterns. I agree Well is a beauty, many options and tangelations and very playful to use. Pea-nuckle indeed is a hard one. And I think its is just practice and practice before getting the right flow. I would suggest you to put the ss (from left to right) closer together. Remember just leave space where one other S could fit in. That was for me the AHA moment to get my pea-nuckle the way I wanted it.
ReplyDeleteKinda looks like my sweater coming apart! lol! I love the design Sue and your peanuckle looks great. NancyD
ReplyDeleteI love what you did here - it's SO intricate!
ReplyDeletefabulous, Sue. I really love your well variations, and all the hanging threads. wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSuch great detail in this. I also like how the pea-nuckle appears to be unraveling.
