This week's Zentangle Challenge from Laura at www.iamthedivaczt.blogspot.com is to use the new tangle Quib. Sort of like a ribbony Hollibaugh, except it comes out of and enters a cup or vessel, at least in the step-outs. I'm not sure if it's drawn so the ribbons go off into the unknown like Hollibaugh - does that make it a Hollibaugh variation or a Quib variation? Semantics, maybe… At any rate, quite a neat tangle. I also wanted to try Borbz and the spiral. Like the Borbz, but will have to keep practicing the spiral. It's too small here and though I like the IDEA of Quib coming out of it - I'm not happy with paradox inside the spiral, but I made an error and had to adapt….
Hi like your zentangle. Whats the name of the tangle with the flat circles. Its a nice floor ...??
ReplyDeleteIt's a new tangle called Borbz from tanglepatterns.com

ReplyDeleteI love the way that it comes out of the spiral and your shading on the orbs. Nice mak rah mee too.
ReplyDeleteSuper, the colours are very effective.
ReplyDeleteNice job. I like the shading on the ribbons and orbs.
ReplyDeleteWow, Sue it looks great! I really like the string thing that is going on around Quib. It really adds interest to the final piece. Nice work! NancyD
ReplyDeleteIt's very nice, Sue, with lots of movement and that lovely borbz pattern used as a sort of border (a very good idea)! I keep an efficient white gel pen at hand for when I get a slip of the pen. It saves me getting frustrated with what I'm doing! I use it a lot!
ReplyDeleteLovely tile! You mak-rah-mee is great. And I love the different ribbons on Quib.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, Sue - I particularly like the mak-rah-mee! Axxx
ReplyDeleteLove the interplay of tangles. Looks like a tray of jewelry.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful, love the colors
