Zentangle Challenge #144 - A Bug's Life
Well, here is my entry for this week's Zentangle Challenge from Laura at www.iamthedivaczt.blogspot.ca. I wasn't going to do this week's challenge because I'm really busy sewing owls for the CBC Christmas Charity Craft Show, and getting ready to give my first Zentangle class. However, I was going through some tiles that I started during the CZT12 training, and found an incomplete Zendala on which I had started practicing Tripoli and Peanuckle. Both of these tangles drive me nuts because I know I should be able to "get" them, but I find them really difficult. Molly showed us, and of course it looks so simple when she does it, and is much simpler when she is standing right there going over step by step with you…. But on my own - it's not pretty (or very zen since I get all worked up). So anyway - there was this incomplete tile just begging for more attention so I picked up my pen and filled in the spots. Then added some ants…. Don't love or even really like this, but I have to admit, it looks better than the incomplete tile I started with (and almost threw out).

I love this! Great job on Tivoli and Peanuckle your frustration doesn't show. The whole thing is gorgeous.
I think it looks great . . . and how cool is that floating 3-D cube you've got going there!! Did you make that!?
A wonderful zendala! I like your Tripoli here! Nicely done!
You are to hard on yourself, I think this zendala is gorgeous!
Oh, Sue, don't ever throw out your tiles! Remember what Rick and Maria say, "respect your art"! Anyway, I like it. I too have a tough time with Peanuckle, but I figure practice will fix that. It was wonderful to be among all the CZTs at seminar last week (CZT 13). I am looking forward to Tangle U too. Are you going? I would love to meet you in person. NancyD
This is super, I love it.
I love your zendala, and think it looks lovely! The ants are a great touch!
Sue, I am on Vancouver Island, north of Victoria. If I new you were close I would be willing to travel to meet you. You can email me directly - Click on my profile and the email link is there. NancyD
Bravo Sue! Glad to see you are embracing the tangles with so much passion. Cheers!
Great you finished this tile. I too have a hard time drawing peanuckle and tripoli. And I agree with you, with Molly as guide it is so much easier. Anyway, I like yor zendala, and your tripoli just looks amazing. I wish you good luck and most of all a lot of fun, with your first class!
Diana
