Zentangle Challenge #101 - second entry
I couldn't sleep last night, and didn't feel like reading or sewing, and the internet was down... so I took out the Zentangle stuff and started experimenting with Phicops. The more I drew it, the more I liked it... but I couldn't let it stand alone so Hollibaugh went into the background. When I got up this a.m. it looked pretty stark so I added bits and pieces of embellishments, and other tangles to the hollibaugh lines, then shading. May favorite part is the Phicops behind Flez - I love the wavy edge. I still want to play around with Phicops some more because I can't seem to get it sort of stubby and round. I haven't checked out many of the other entries this week (because internet has been a pain), but it's up again so that's what I'm going to do now.
I do so love the lines in this one....just enough pattern to give it amazing interest and enough white space to make the tangling fabulous!
ReplyDeleteOooo--I love the effect of this with the Hollibaugh, it's all floaty and sublime! Love all the groovy things you've done with Phicops--brilliant!
ReplyDeleteLove, LOVE this, Sue! I'm so glad you left me a comment, or I might never have found you! Your work is amazing - what a great talent. Love your webpage, especially that 3-D cube - gonna investigate that!
ReplyDeleteTis is a great great tile. You made the phicops look so defferent, biy embellish them in different ways. You certainly did a great job on this one.
ReplyDeleteI like your experiments with Phicops, great tile!
ReplyDeleteI love it with the interesting mix behind it. I'm glad that you couldn't sleep...LOL
ReplyDeleteThis is great. It looks like an exotic flower, probably a cactus judging from the lack of leaves.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is hard to stop on just one phicops, fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the use of white space in this one. Wonderful :)
ReplyDeleteThe hollibaugh gave Phicops interest and depth. Love how it turned out.
ReplyDeleteYour tile became very beautiful, I like your tangelations of Phicops.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I really love how you did hollibaugh. I have to try Phicops some day.
ReplyDeleteYou have mastered phicops with two great tiles.
ReplyDeleteWow, they look so leafey! I really like the variations you did with some of them... good ones to keep in mind!
